Hello Friends of Moose Charities,

As summer winds down, I can’t help but think about the change of seasons and my own fall schedule. The news tells us, “Busy is Back!” And, I couldn’t agree more. Our lodges are open, activities are getting back into full swing and our kids are getting back to the basics. Remember that feeling when you tied the laces on your new pair of school shoes, grabbed your new lunch box and made your way out the door? It’s this time of year when there’s a sense of renewal.
 
School Supplies and crayons Ahh . . . the smell of a new crayons from a newly opened box or those large cookies every school seemed to have in their cafeteria. Regardless of whether your school days bring back fond memories or a good case of nerves, we can all agree that the start of a new school year is like opening a book and not knowing what to expect when you turn the page.

It’s a fresh start. 
   

I've been thinking about the children who recently arrived at Mooseheart. They’re probably excited, and even nervous, as they adjust to a new school, new teachers and new activities. At the same time, they’re settling into their new home with new surroundings. While they may not know it yet, they’ve been given the gift of opportunity.

 Say Hello to 4 new MHT kids_2021
 
As you know, we’ve been fundraising for the Mooseheart Activity Center (The MAC) since 2019. This new addition to the Mooseheart campus is under construction at last! Literally, the heavy equipment is here, the sound of machinery is in the air and the first signs of what will be the MAC is taking place. I hope you will take great pleasure in knowing that your generous support of this project is changing the landscape of Mooseheart and bringing more opportunities for our children to grow, learn and play. It will be a place for our Mooseheart children to enjoy for decades to come. 
 
Help us close the gap and finish building the MAC! A “lodge” filled with activities for our Mooseheart kids to enjoy now and in the future.
